Restoration III - Rollin’ Out Rhythm

Current Skills tied to the Entertainer Profession and their translated effects:
In order to create new content that expands on the end-game progression of the Entertainer we need to first take a look at how the profession works and the core skills at play.

Baseline Entertainer
Buff Duration is ~3h30m 
Duration per Tick is 10m
Tick is Every 10-11 Seconds

Duration per Tick is 14m

Looking at the list of Skills and their apparent effects it would seem that the Tape / Attachment game for the entertainer is rather weak. One increases stats that do not need to be increased (Music/Dance Knowledge) and the other two are left over stats with no function in the Inspiration Buil-a-Buff system.

Without changing the stats on any given tape (and potentially messing with REs / junk loot combos), we can make the stats that are available function in different ways.

Musical Enhancement (Playing Music / Instrument Required)

Option 1: Faster Buffs--
+ Inspiration Pulse Increase

Option 2:
More Focused Artisan Buffs--
Harvest Faire 5% max -> 7% Max

Hand Sampling 10% max -> 12% Max

30 Enhancement : 1 % Increase 

Option 4: Slight Power Creep --

Prop / Instrument Assembly 

 

With one of the Exotic slots for tapes being a weapon it should be entirely possible for the entertainer to have an Instrument or Prop with a socket on it. When you use the Weapon Power-Ups in game they empower a Slitherhorn (or other held instrument).

Instrument / Prop Assembly should act like the other crafting assembly stats and increase the chance of getting a socket on a prop or instrument.

Instruments and Props must be able to receive sockets and thus be able to take exotic attachments. But that would immediately give purpose to the already existent stats of Instrument / Prop Assembly. 

 

(New Running Potential Max Buffing: 22 Points Buffs, +17m per Tick, Duration increase every 8 seconds)

 

COLLECTIONS, BADGES, and BUILD-A-BUFF:

 

Build-A-Buff used to be a means by which entertainers could sit in the cantina and buff players and get progress towards a collection. Entertainers would be seeking out and requesting certain players to come watch them, because they need X many of each profession to get a buff from them.

On R3 I would suggest that the Build-a-Buff have the variety element removed and rather just make it X Many buffs. With the variety in templates this would make the most sense for the completion of the collection.

Reward: Passive +2 Inspiration Pulse Increase, Ability to Change the Color/Tint of your Holograms, and a title “tbd”.

NEW SUGGESTED CONTENT:

Instrumentalist this collection would require X many buffs to be given while holding the specified instrument. Like Build-a-Buff any buff over a certain duration would have a chance to count toward the collection. 


Reward: Gold version of specified instrument and a title (Bandfilist, Mandoviolist, etc..)

Reward for FULL Completion: Passive +1 Inspiration Buff Point while playing Music.

Terpsichorean this collection would require X many buffs to be given while holding the specified prop. Like Build-a-Buff any buff over a certain duration would have a chance to count toward the collection.

Reward: Gold Version of specified prop and a title (Raver (glowsticks), Sword Dancer (swords))

Reward for FULL Completion: Passive +1 Inspiration Buff Point while Dancing.

(New Running Potential Max Buffing: 23 Points Buffs, +19m per Tick, Duration increase every 8 seconds)

Additional Topics to Consider: 

-Entertainer Mission Terminals
These missions having payouts equal to / based on Entertainer level, which could be gauged from checking the available stats of the player. Additionally doing them in a group to increase payouts. Either way consideration should be put into making these payouts similar to the credits/hour able to be made by a combat toon. 

-Will Battle Fatigue be in the Game?
Will Battle Fatigue make a return.. if so then that is another reason for players to seek out entertainers! Is that what PERFORMANCE EFFECTIVENSS IS FOR!?

-Should Din write an entire Theme Park Quest Chain for Entertainers?!
Seriously? Would there be any interest in this?
